Ontology Based Risk Evaluation and Mitigation For Teleworkers

In order to raise awareness and allow for self assessment of teleworker’s risk profile, we have conducted a literature review of risk factors associated with teleworking and interviews with companies about their practices to manage their impacts. We then designed an ontology for the control and mitigation of teleworking risk. This ontology allows us to link the risks with adaptations provided by the employers and employees. In order to raise awareness and to circulate this evaluation tool, we have integrated the ontology in a user-friendly website, where people can fill out an anonymous survey to establish their personal risk profile and get recommendations about further adaptations that could be beneficial in their situation.
